How Brides Are Using Social Media To Plan Their Weddings &

How To Reach Them

This month's meeting was hosted by New Albany Country Club. We were treated to a delicious full meal and chocolate favors. Our speaker was Julie Albaugh who spoke to us about brides and social media.

  • Millennials research everything!
  • Friends & family are huge influences
  • Facebook -  brides focus on the wedding and grooms focus on their financial future
  • November & December are the most popular engagement months
  • Brides plan in two phases - inspiration & actual planning
  • Instagram - top hashtags are #engaged, #ring, #isaidyes, #proposal, #love, #loveyou, #wedding, #bride, #bridetobe
  • Share quality photos & post them in the evenings
  • Use a Geotag with your photos
  • Before & after photos are your time to shine
  • Video - use live streaming apps such as Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Vimeo
  • Don't use copyrighted music in your videos
